No automatic charge. If you want to continue, you activate a plan directly on the site; otherwise, there's nothing you need to do.
If you don't activate a plan, your account is paused and your environment stays available for 30 days. If you activate within that period, everything resumes right where you left off; otherwise, your environment and data are permanently deleted.
